A few days ago we wrote down why this game has no open servers: multiplayer only with a password and word of mouth, like a treehouse — you get in if you're personally invited. And we wrote: "There is no exception to this." Today we're announcing something that looks exactly like one at first glance. So we'd rather say it ourselves, loud and clear, before anyone else does. 😄

Blocks Beyond the Stars is now also on glitch.fun — a browser gaming platform where you can jump into games instantly, no install, no account with us. There we run a handful of arcade worlds: shared multiplayer worlds you join with a single click. Yes, you'll meet strangers there. But — and this is the point — those worlds exist only there. They never show up on our portal, they're not part of your world list, and not a single letter of our treehouse promise changes: your worlds stay password-protected, and on our platform your kids still only ever meet people you actually know.

So why do it at all? glitch.fun is aimed at teens and adults, every player there is known through their platform account, and we hold a direct lever: misbehave and you're out — we can ban individual Glitch accounts from the game, instantly and permanently. The arcade is the game hall in town, with house rules and supervision. The treehouse in the garden stays the treehouse in the garden. 🌳
