Nothing new to build, tame, or explore this time — instead we gave the whole game a thorough inspection: a full code audit, straight through server and client. Eight bugs turned up, and all eight are fixed in version 0.7.7. Like the Brave Little Tailor, just with one more. 🪡
The most important thing first: your save files are now future-proof. Until now, a later update that adds new blocks could, in the worst case, scramble old worlds — placed blocks would suddenly load as the wrong blocks. Worlds now remember their own block table and translate automatically on load. Also in the box: every planet gets its own plant life again (instead of showing the flora of whichever planet was visited first, everywhere), long play sessions no longer eat memory, and on servers with several worlds each world gets its fair share of updates again — a slow AI response can't freeze the server anymore either. And a trading bug that allowed duplicating items is plugged as well. (So: if you run your own server, please update promptly!)
As easy as ever for you: the launcher updates automatically, Docker self-hosters just pull the new image — and the official worlds are already running 0.7.7. 🚀
