Just one day after the big frontier release, 0.9.1 follows — smaller, but with a discovery that changes how space feels: you are not the first ones out there. 🚀

Monuments. On the surface of some worlds, ancient relics now stand: a half-collapsed arcade of arches, a free-standing gate that leads nowhere, a ring of standing stones, a weathered obelisk and a rune altar — up to three per world, never two of the same kind. And they are the only structures that also stand on airless moons: whoever raised them did not need air either. And nothing has weathered them since. 🗿

Scan the runes. Every monument is carved with glowing runes. Scan them where they stand and you read the inscriptions themselves — worth far more knowledge than identifying a stone, with a lore line of their own and a new Codex chapter Discoveries → Monuments. Each kind of monument pays out once per planet — so the stone circle on the next world is worth the walk too. The new building materials Ancient Brick and Rune Stone are yours to mine and build with (what you clear stays cleared), and about one relic in three hides a small treasure chamber. The fallen towns finally have a landmark again as well: ruins now keep the broken version of their central feature — snapped column stumps, an arch springer jutting into nothing, toppled inscribed stones.

The five asteroid families from this afternoon's blog post are in the game now. Stony, metallic, icy, carbon — and the crystalline one, until now the uniform look of every asteroid, is the rare find. On top of that, every rock (and every airless moon) gets its own crater relief. ⚠️ As announced, this comes with a catch: the asteroids in existing worlds will get different families and a different relief with this update. Your built blocks survive, but they may float freely or sit embedded in rock afterwards — the same one-time cut as the 0.9.0 world generator overhaul. ☄️

For everyone hosting worlds for their family, the most important fix: stopping a hosted world now saves reliably. Until now, the polite "please shut down" simply never arrived inside the container — the world was hard-killed after a grace period, and everything since the last autosave was lost, on every stop from the admin page and on every server update. Now it saves cleanly, the admin page answers immediately instead of hanging for two minutes, and for emergencies there is a clearly labelled kill button. 🛟

And the chat speaks plainly again. /help used to dump a wall of cryptic symbols and admin commands across the screen — now it is two short lines for players, the admin reference lives behind /help admin, and every help text is properly localized in German and English. Closed along the way: nobody can recolour or blow up everyone else's chat with formatting tricks any more. 💬

In short: fly out, find your first stone circle — and scan the runes. Somebody wanted you to read them. ✨
