Version 2026.7.20 – Suit up, pilots! 🧑🚀
July 28, 2026
Two things in this update, and both are about safety: your pilot finally looks like someone who works in space — and your account can no longer be lost. 🚀
You wear spacesuits now. Until today every pilot strolled through the void bare-headed in a jumpsuit, as if oxygen were negotiable. From now on your avatar wears a proper suit: a helmet with a flipped-up visor, gloves, a collar ring, a control panel on the chest and a life-support pack with twin tanks on the back. Your chosen avatar colours tint the suit, and your face — including a hand-drawn pixel face — stays visible behind the open visor. Best part: settlers, traders and researchers deliberately stay in civilian clothes. Anyone wearing a suit is a real player — at a glance, no nameplate needed. 🧑🚀
Two old sins fixed along the way: the armor helmet and the helmet lamp from the gear system had been invisible all along — their visuals were literally stuck inside the avatar''s head. The armor helmet now sits visibly as a shell over the suit helmet, and the lamp shines at its side. And backlit by a low sun, the whole figure used to turn into a black silhouette — that''s repaired too, for players and inhabitants alike.
A forgotten password is no longer the end. Every new account gets three rescue codes at signup — shown once, with the big request: write them on paper. With one code and a new password you reset your account yourself via the new "Forgot password?" button. Already have an account? The Account panel lets you issue your codes any time (your current password is enough). And for a true emergency we can now cleanly reset an account from the operator side — with a one-time password and an immediate sign-out of every session. 🆘
Signing in itself has been defused too. You can now change your account password in-game. And the sign-in form has stopped laying traps: after signing out your account name stays filled in (it used to be blanked — people innocently typed their pilot name and concluded their account was gone), the password field is now clearly labelled "account password", and everywhere it says: the account name is only for signing in — your pilot name stays freely changeable. 🔑
And a first: the automatic update notice arrived with the last version — this update is the first one it offers you on its own. If you installed 2026.7.19, there''s nothing left to do: the game will tell you at startup. That''s exactly what we built it for. ✨
