Yesterday it was the luggage, today it's the playlist. If you've spent a while on a planet with two music tracks, you know the drill: A, B, A, B — at some point Justus started humming the ice-planet theme at the kitchen table before it had even started. 😅 That's over: the music now draws from a shuffle bag — every track of a context plays once before anything repeats, the all-round pieces are blended into every planet's pool, and the game remembers what it played recently. Dawn brings the sunrise track, night the nocturnal one — on every biome. 🌅

And the music breathes and listens: after a piece ends on a planet, in space or aboard the parked ship, the score may stay quiet for a minute or two — only wind, rain, the biome and the waterfall next door remain — before the next piece fades in. When a storm rolls in the music ducks under the weather; when a hostile creature comes close it darkens; on a long dive it switches to the deep sea, and the open star chart and the crafting and research tabs get beds of their own. On top of that, eleven new tracks (ice, desert, lava, toxic, ocean, cave, station hub, menu, loading screen, a second dawn and a second night) — 51 songs in the library, still streamed on demand like since yesterday. And if you like the Synth style: it now composes every piece fresh — key, tempo, chords, arpeggios — instead of playing four fixed loops. 🎹

For browser players there are two things we've been asked about a lot. First: your world now survives an update. Until now every new version on glitch.fun sent guests without a Glitch login to a fresh world, because the browser keeps a separate store per deployment — the game now picks up the world and your settings from the previous version, carefully and without ever overwriting an existing world. Second: there is finally a "New world…" button in the main menu for when you deliberately want to start over (yes, with the prologue 🚀). And a small hint next to "Singleplayer" explains where the world actually lives and that a Glitch login keeps it across devices and updates. 🌐

Finally, research: the toast "New research available!" sounded as if a blueprint had already been unlocked — when it only meant that you had enough knowledge. Now it says exactly that: "Enough knowledge for: …". And the first 26 blueprints cost 4–24 knowledge instead of 2–10, so you don't get half a dozen toasts at once after two landings; everything from 30 upwards stays as it was, and banked knowledge in old saves is not lost. Protocol stays 3, saves stay; if you host a server, please update it anyway so the new knowledge ladder reaches your players. Headphones on — encore! 🎧✨
