Version 2026.9.3 – The landscape update: every new world rolls its own terrain, eight new kinds of planet and wrecks in space 🏔️🌌
September 6, 2026
Until now every desert looked like a dune sea and every highland like a mountain range. No more: every new world now rolls its own terrain – dune seas next to badlands, fjord coasts under mountain country, glacier valleys, impact basins full of water, rock bridges over gorges, crystal geodes underground, oases in the desert, moss on warm wet rock. 🏔️ On top of that come eight new kinds of planet – from island archipelagos to ash seas with basalt continents – six new ancient relics (a watchtower, a tomb, a ziggurat, a fallen colossus, an aqueduct, a stone bridge), seven new tree kinds, five new blocks and dozens of small things to stumble over on a walk: fallen logs, bone piles, crashed probes, lone rune stones. Volcanoes now grow wherever the core is molten – as smoking islands in the sea, too. And most importantly: your existing worlds stay exactly as they are. No mountain grows over your base.
Space grew as well. A new galaxy starts with twelve star systems instead of eight, the flight chart has a Hyperspace tab with every star in its true colour (and you jump straight from the chart), distances are in kilometres, and the planets spread out. 🌌 The wrecks the travel screen has listed for months really drift out there now – fly up, read the manifest, cut them apart with the mining laser. And on screen the game looks different: the HUD got crisp text, holographic frames and bars and a little motion, the field of view is wider (80° instead of a secret 60°, adjustable), the compass finally says "Ship 114 m" and has a rotating N for north, and the shade under trees is shade again, not a cave. 🌤️
And Lyxette? Rounds eight and nine! 🛰️ His ship launched into the wrong orbit after a ship switch, the shield looked dead while landed, settlers lived in the water, trees stood in the middle of the settlement, and the speeder would rather swim than drive – all fixed. The speeder now stays on land, parked vehicles are solid from every side, "Board (E)" is on screen, and X at the cockpit brings every vehicle you left somewhere back into your inventory. ahmdkaml contributed a first code fix: after a repair the shield is full again right away. Thank you both! 🙏 Protocol and saves stay as they are – the desktop updates itself, the browser is always current. Create a new world and see what it rolled! ✨
