Version 2026.10.28 – The duel update: fights between players, an enemies Codex and mahogany from the giant tree ⚔️📖

Today four wishes arrived at once – three from Justus and one from Lyxette. All four are already in. Thank you both! 🙏

⚔️ Player against player – but only if you want it. Justus wanted to switch weapons and friendly fire on and off in the world settings. That's how we found out that players couldn't hit each other at all so far. Now the world admin sets how it works in their world under Tab → Character → World rules: Off, Duels only, Crew vs crew or On. With Friendly fire you decide whether you can hit your allies too. Everything starts switched off.

🤝 Duels where nobody dies. In the Alliances tab you can Challenge other players to a duel. Whoever goes down first loses – and gets straight back up. Anyone defeated by another player keeps everything they carried. And aboard a ship, in a space station, in space and in Sandbox mode nobody can hit you anyway.

📖 Every enemy in the Codex. Justus wished for a kind of tablet with all the enemies – from drones and UFOs to spaceships. The Codex now has an Enemies chapter: health, damage, loot, who they are and a tip on how to beat them. An entry fills in as soon as you meet that enemy for the first time. Until then it only reads ???.

🌳 The giant tree is mahogany now. Lyxette wished for dark mahogany from the giant tree. On top of that, a piece of trunk you mined by accident couldn't be repaired – it always looked different. Now the Giant mahogany trunk drops itself, and you patch it with the same colour and grain. Its dark red-brown is the same on every planet, and every wood recipe takes it.

🏗️ For builders. In Sandbox and Creative mode you no longer wait three minutes for Back to my ship. And when you create a world, the Planet types & frequency page now shows what percentage each planet type makes up. With Only this there is just that one kind of planet – that's what Justus really wanted.

💾 Your saves stay as they are. The desktop game updates itself at start, and the browser is always up to date. Have fun duelling! 🚀
