This time we mostly listened and shone a light into the dark: the sounds in the game weren't what we wanted yet, and the lamp on your helmet looked more like a bright patch on the screen than real light. On top of that, Lyxette and Justus sent in reports again – thank you both! 🙌

🔊 A world you can hear. Every sound is levelled anew: mining stone, the scrap pistol, a landing or light rain used to be barely audible, while others were far too loud. Your steps follow your pace – sneaking, walking, running – and sound different on wood, leaves, shallow water, grating and crystal. Water splashes and bubbles, and after a long dive you gasp for air. In space and on airless moons there is no wind, only a soft hum in your suit, and far-away sounds arrive muffled.

🦌 Animals that move and call. The animals near you now patter, flap, slither and graze audibly – but never too many at once. A herd answers an alarm call, there is an animal chorus at dawn, it goes quiet in a storm, and afterwards everyone calls at once. When it is quiet, you hear the planet's animals from far away. Your ship hums according to how it is built, ticks while it cools after a landing, and rain drums on the roof. In flight the engine roars in stages, and other ships rush past with a Doppler sweep. 73 new sounds have been added.

🔦 A real suit lamp. The lamp on your helmet now shines like a real LED: a calm, cool beam that gets weaker with distance and glints on wet rock and water. In caves dust dances in the beam, and in third person the lamp glows on your avatar's helmet. On the High graphics preset you see the beam in fog, and blocks cast shadows – switch that under Settings → Graphics → Details (High) → Suit lamp shadows. And the other players' lamps now light up the world for you too.

🛗 A space elevator. Lyxette found his 48-block lift too low. Now lifts go up to 256 blocks! The platform starts gently, speeds up and slows down before the stop – it covers the full height in about 23 seconds. An open Lift Gate is now just a sill on the floor and no longer looks like a second platform.

☁️ Calm clouds. When the weather changed, the clouds suddenly jumped to another spot. Now they drift on steadily, and the weather changes gently. In a gale, fine streaks of grit fly instead of big brown squares – white on ice, rust-coloured on red deserts. Rain and snow fall with the wind.

📏 Longer ranges. Many ranges grew from 48 to 64 blocks, for example for landing pads, the radar and copying blueprints. Crystal networks, lift shafts and your base stay loaded as long as you are on the same planet.

🧭 Tidy top right. Lyxette spotted that the compass, the clock and the playtime overlapped in the top right and text ran off the edge of the screen. Now everything has its own place. And Justus wished that the jobs on his base's mission board told of other people, not of himself. Now, for example, the beekeeper down the road or the lighthouse keeper on the cliffs needs your help.

🛡️ Safer in multiplayer. We also fixed many bugs on the servers: when you reconnect, you no longer lose items or get them twice. Nothing gets lost in a trade any more, and public worlds are better protected against troublemakers.

💾 Your worlds stay as they are – nothing needs converting this time. The desktop game updates itself at start, the browser is always current. Have fun listening! 🔊
