Version 2026.11.4 – The landing update: landing without a cut, fair rules at the spaceport and lifts that come 🚀🛗
November 4, 2026
Until now the screen went black for a moment when you landed, and then you stood on the planet. That's over: landing, lift-off and docking are now one single scene without a loading screen. On top of that the spaceport gets fair rules, lifts come back down, and it no longer freezes in a closed room. Many of the reports for this came from Lyxette. Thank you! 🙌
🚀 Landing like in a film. The camera flies with your ship as it turns belly-first and dives towards the surface. In an atmosphere a bow wave glows in front of the ship, in the colours of the world you are flying into. The sky turns from black to the planet's colour, the ship punches into the clouds – and below them it touches down on its landing pad: dust in the colour of the ground, a heavy thump, steam. Then the camera glides back into your eyes.
🛫 Lift-off with your own ship. At lift-off, the very ship you were just standing in fires its engines. It rises heavily, swirls up dust, tips its nose up and climbs into the clouds with a boom. Above the clouds the flight begins, and the sky turns black. At stations you watch the approach from beside the hangar mouth, and the hangar doors close behind you. Seven new sounds come with it. Esc skips the part on the ground, and the settings Camera motion (bob/shake), Screen shake and Reduce flashes apply here too.
🗺️ The landing map opens at once. On E a window with a spinner shows right away. It tells you that on your first approach to a world its landing pads are searched first. The moment you pick a pad, the descent begins. Nothing is left over in the film either: no target frame from the scanner, no light from the suit lamp. And your ship's rear hatch is now a closed door in flight, not a blue energy field.
🌌 Hyperjump without the old planet. After a hyperjump to a new world you sometimes stood on the old planet for a moment. Now the server builds the new world first, and the jump tunnel stays until it is ready.
🛬 Fair rules at the spaceport. Lyxette built a tower on the old landing pad in his spaceport – and the trader parked right in the middle of the concrete. Now a landing pad with something built on it counts as built over: traders no longer land there, and the landing map shows it. Torches and flowers don't count, and a ship that is already parked is never moved. He also wished for something against the big fliers: no animal flies over a closed Energy Fence any more, and no wild fliers appear over the closed yard of a base with an energy fence. And when a ship lands or lifts off, the animals run away from the engines – nobody gets hurt.
🛗 Lifts that come. Lyxette asked how the lift works because his no longer came. Two things were to blame: a Lift Stop on the bottom floor belonged to no lift, and snow had settled in the open shaft under the platform. Now the stop at the bottom calls the platform back, no snow settles in the shaft any more, and a lift that can't come tells you why. By the way, you don't need any crystal conduits for it – pressing is enough.
❄️ No frost in your room. Outside it was snowing, and there was frost on the floor of Lyxette's closed room. Now the floor under a roof stays dry, and only the open sky gets wet and white. And next to the temperature it now says Snow when it snows – not "Rain" any more.
🔒 A security update. The game engine Unity had two security flaws that affect many programs. We switched to the new, repaired version. On Windows and in the browser you were not affected.
💾 Your save stays as it is – you don't need to convert anything, and worlds and servers of 2026.11.3 keep working. The desktop game updates itself at start, the browser is always current. Have fun landing! 🚀
