Version 2026.10.32 – The lantern update: my festivals, Halloween and Christmas challenges and festival decorations 🏮🎄

The last update brought 52 festivals from all over the world into the game – and with them a festival on almost every second day. That was too much of a good thing. Now you choose your own festivals, and the festive mood shows on the special days again. On top of that there are challenges of their own for Halloween and Christmas, new festival decorations and a little tune for every festival. 🎶

🎁 My festivals. You decide which festivals you celebrate. At the start these are the big festivals of the world – from New Year to Diwali to Christmas – plus the festivals of your language. Under Comfort & wellbeing → My festivals you can also pick All festivals, Only my language or None. With Choose festivals… or More festivals on the menu card you see every festival with its explanation and can press Celebrate on any of them. That way you discover festivals from other countries too.

🏮 Less often, but lovelier. The festive mood with lights, petals and festive music now comes on a festival's first days – the whole Halloween week and the Sundays of Advent. With the default choice that is about 40 festive days a year instead of 163.

🎃🎄 Challenges of their own for Halloween and Christmas. At Halloween you harvest 60 pumpkins. At Christmas you look for 25 different fir trees on the cold worlds and scan them – every tree counts once, however many needles you scan. For 25 and 100 fir trees there are also the achievements Fir finder and Forest ranger. The harvest festivals' challenge now counts every plant you harvest, and pumpkins also grow at Sukkot and the autumn equinox.

🎀 New festival decorations. You can wrap the gift box in any colour, the paper lantern and the little diya lamp glow warmly, and you plant marigolds from seeds on grass, soil or in a flower pot. Everything can be made by hand and is also the present for the festival challenges. New in the calendar is Orthodox Christmas on 7 January.

🛠️ Small bugs fixed. Pumpkins no longer grow on your own lawn or right next to someone, the More festivals list no longer hides behind the menu buttons, and switching the festivals off now works in the browser too. And a thank-you: Jafar from our school club is now in the credits as well. 🙏

💾 Because there are new blocks, your save is converted the first time you open it. After that, an older version can no longer open it. The desktop game updates itself at start, and the browser is always current. Have fun celebrating – your festivals! 🚀
