Justus played on Friday evening and sent four ideas with F1 straight away. All four are in the game now: seasons on every planet, a job of its own for every base, name tags for your companions and an enemy list with pictures. Thank you, Justus! 🙌

🍂 Four seasons. Every planet with air now has spring, summer, autumn and winter – each season lasts five days on that planet. In autumn the leaves turn orange and red, in winter it gets colder and cold worlds are covered in frost, in spring the blossoms open and picked plants grow back faster. Summer is up to 8 degrees warmer, winter up to 8 degrees colder. Every planet is at a different point of the year – maybe it is spring on the world next door right now. The current season is shown next to the clock.

🏠 Every base gets a job. Press E at the base core and choose a focus – switching costs nothing:

  • Market: merchants come by, more often than before, and sometimes two at once who trade with each other. Market day! 🛍️

  • Miner: dig a shaft below the base core. The deeper it goes, the more the base gathers – and from a certain depth rare ores join in too.

  • Lumberjack: a free resident fells trees around the base and plants a new one for each. It leaves your own trees alone. 🪓

  • Radio centre: you hear every trader in the star system, even without a radio – and now and then an old distress call that leads you to a wreck. 📡

Important: merchants now come only to bases with the Market focus. If you miss your merchants, simply switch your base to Market.

🏷️ Name tags. With a name tag (made by hand from polymer and crystal) you give one of your companions a name – it then floats above it as a hologram. And right after taming, the game now asks for the name.

👾 The enemy list with pictures. In the Codex under Enemies every enemy is listed from the start, with health, damage, loot and a tip – and beside each one a picture that the game draws from the real model. The ones you have already met get a green tick. And the hunter, the strongest Guardian on the ground, finally looks the part: taller, with a visor, shoulder plates and a glowing reactor.

🧭 Little things. The coordinates (Settings → Comfort & wellbeing → Show coordinates) now sit right under your health and oxygen bars, just as Justus wanted. And planets with a name of your own showed a stray bit of formatting code in the location panel – that is gone.

💾 Your save stays as it is, and from now on the year keeps running between two evenings of play. The desktop game updates itself at start, the browser is always current. Have fun in autumn – or wherever in the year your planet happens to be! 🚀
