Version 2026.11.2 – The tank spider update: two new enemies, a crate to take along, landing pads and lots more detail 🕷️📦
November 2, 2026
Justus played on Sunday and sent twelve reports with F1 – bugs that annoyed him and ideas he had while playing. Almost all of them are in the game now, together with landing pads for your bases, categories for building and a whole lot of new graphics detail. Thank you, Justus! 🙌
🕷️ The tank spider. A mechanical Guardian spider that carries a pressure tank instead of a body. Get too close and it stops, and the tank swells up, hisses and glows – time to run! Then it bursts. That hurts, but the tank spider never breaks a block, and a wall between you keeps the blast off. Hit it from far away and it just goes pop.
🚀 The hunter shuttle. Now and then a small Guardian shuttle shows up in space. It is a poor fighter and would rather run – then you have eight seconds to shoot it down. If it escapes, it lands on a planet and builds a robot camp: a hunter stands guard, and glowing Guardian bays keep sending out new robots. Mine all the bays and the camp is finished – with loot waiting in the hold. VEGA marks the camp on your planet map.
📦 A crate to take along. The Transport Crate works like a storage crate – but when you mine it, everything inside stays packed. Carry it wherever you like and place it again to unpack it. And the Storage Bag holds up to 1000 items – you open it right in the inventory. You build both at the workshop.
🛬 Landing pads at your base. Next to your base core you can now build up to four landing pads, each big enough for every ship. Press E to give one a name and decide who may land: only you, you and your allies, or everyone. In space the landing map shows your bases with their pads – pick one and you land right on it.
🗂️ Categories for building. Crafting, Blueprints, the Ship tab and the inventory now share the same categories, and a thing can be in several: under Travel & Transport you find everything that gets you around – boat, speeder, the monorail train, jetpack, glider, teleporters – and under Crystal Net everything the Crystal Net can do. Search finds categories too, and every item shows what it is needed for.
✨ More detail on High. If you play on a computer with the High graphics preset, you now get sharper shadows, depth in rock and metal, a grass carpet with meadow flowers, reflections in your ship and base, scorch marks, a further far view and sunbeams you can see. Each extra can be switched off on its own under Settings → Graphics → Details (High). And every star now has its own colour – from bluish white to orange-red.
🔧 Justus' bugs are fixed. Walking sideways into a tall fence no longer lands you on the roof. A reward that doesn't fit in your inventory now arrives as soon as you make room – no restart. You really have to search for the Halloween pumpkins now. The energy fence looks like a fence: rails at the top and bottom, glowing beams in between, and you can see through the gaps. You open the mission board with E now – even one in your own ship, where you take and hand in cargo orders. A crystal conduit without a switch no longer shuts down the sentry post, and the watcher now also notices when a switch is flipped or a lamp turns on in front of it.
🎨 And more from Justus. The robbers now look like the other people in the game – with villagers' hair and their mask. When you take a drill in your hand, it does a test spin, a gun gets a quick reload, and a blade twirls through your fingers. Robots that are left alone sometimes look at their hands. And Justus repainted the metal panel without its rivets in the texture editor – that is the metal panel in the game now! 🖌️
💾 Because the transport crate and the landing pad are new blocks, your save is converted the first time you open it – after that an older version can no longer open it. The desktop game updates itself at start, the browser is always current. Have fun – and watch out when something hisses! 🚀
